Jul. 1959 Established as Miyota Precision Co., Ltd. with a capital of 10,000,000 yen.
Apr. 1962 Designated as a model factory under Nagano Prefecture's Plant Siting Incentive Ordinance.
Sep. 1963 Capital increased to 20,000,000 yen.
May 1974 Began production of electronic wristwatches.
Oct. 1974 Capital increased to 40,000,000 yen.
Mar. 1976 Began production of quartz oscillators.
Apr. 1976 Began automated watch assembly.

Oct. 2005 MIYOTA becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIZEN WATCH CO., LTD. via equity swap.
MIYOTA delisted from JASDAQ.
MIYOTA's corporate name changed to CITIZEN MIYOTA CO., LTD.
